We collect the following information when you create an account or use the Platform:

Account information: your name, email address, and username.
Google profile data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Session and booking data: details of sessions you book or conduct, including session type and timing.
Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or other sensitive payment details — Stripe handles this directly.
Usage data: standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and debugging.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account.
To facilitate session scheduling and booking between students and advisors.
To send transactional emails such as verification codes, booking confirmations, and password resets.
To process payments and track session credits through Stripe.
To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not record or store the content of your sessions. Session meetings are conducted via Google Meet and are subject to Google's own privacy policies. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

The Platform relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

Stripe — payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy.
Google — OAuth sign-in and Google Meet for sessions. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure hosting the Platform.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

6. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed password storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at scholarviewsinc@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 17, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.
